Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority, Robins AFB, CGTC Announce Aviation Workforce Training and Sustainment Center

Macon, Ga. – Students enrolled in aerospace training programs at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) will soon have the opportunity to learn in a first-of-its-kind partnership alongside Robins Air Force Base (Robins AFB) employees, working on active aviation repair and maintenance projects.
The Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, Robins AFB, and CGTC announced Friday a new state aviation workforce training and sustainment approach located at the former Boeing facility at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MGRA). The announcement revealed that members of the 402 Commodities Maintenance Group (402 CMXG) at Robins AFB and two of the College’s aerospace training programs are planning to relocate to approximately 240,000 square feet of property at the airport. CGTC Receives Federal Grant to Help Veterans and Families Fill Truck Driver Demand

More than 600 Job Seekers Attend CGTC Career Fair

Macon, Ga. – Several of middle Georgia’s top employers met with more than 600 job seekers at Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) 2018 Fall Academic and Career Fair this week hosted on the Macon campus.

CGTC Leads Technical College System in Graduates for Fifth Year

Warner Robins, Ga. – The 2017-2018 Academic Year marks the fifth consecutive year that Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) surpassed 3,000 total graduates, according to state data, becoming the only technical college in Georgia to achieve this benchmark from academic years’ 2014-2018. Aviation Maintenance Program at CGTC Welcomes First Female Instructor

Warner Robins, Ga. – What came about as nothing more than a woman’s mechanical intuition, sparked a 17-year career in the male-dominated field of aviation maintenance (AVMT) for Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC)’s first female program instructor, Deanne Corbin.

Delta Air Lines TechOps Partners with CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Program in Pursuit of College’s Premier Talent

Warner Robins, Ga. – Delta Air Lines TechOps now has preferred access to highly-skilled mechanics from Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Aviation Maintenance Technology program (AMT), as a recently developed partnership saw the College selected as a preferred training institution for airframe and power plant technicians. First Cohort of Associate Degree Nursing Students Set to Graduate
