CGTC academic schedule follows a semester system and will generally follow as shown below:

In addition to the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, two separate mini-mester sessions will be held within each complete semester. Each 8-week mini-mester course will cover the same information as a full semester course and will count for full semester credit hours.
- Students may take a combination of Full Semester, Mini-Mester Session 1, and/or Mini-Mester Session 2 courses.*
- Mini-mester Session 1 will begin on the first day of the regular semester, while Mini-mester Session 2 will begin immediately following the conclusion of Session 1.**
*Maximum credit hours allowed per student/per semester is 18.
**Students may register for Mini-mester Session 2 up until the day the session begins. Mini-mester course availability may vary each term.
