More than 600 Job Seekers Attend CGTC Career Fair

Macon, Ga. – Several of middle Georgia’s top employers met with more than 600 job seekers at Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) 2018 Fall Academic and Career Fair this week hosted on the Macon campus.
Desna Toliver, the director of Career Services, said that despite long lines forming for some employers, representatives from companies and colleges informed her they were pleased with the turnout, patience, and commitment by all involved. CGTC Leads Technical College System in Graduates for Fifth Year

Warner Robins, Ga. – The 2017-2018 Academic Year marks the fifth consecutive year that Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) surpassed 3,000 total graduates, according to state data, becoming the only technical college in Georgia to achieve this benchmark from academic years’ 2014-2018. The College also set a record by conferring 660 associate degrees in AY 2018, the highest number since consolidating with the former Middle Georgia Technical College in 2013.

CGTC Students and Houston Healthcare Nurses Celebrate First Semester of Innovative Program

Warner Robins, Ga. – Students in the clinical portion of the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program at Central Georgia Technical College have completed the inaugural semester of a first-of-its-kind program at the Houston Medical Center.
The Dedicated Education Nurses (DEN) program combines the clinical work of students with the supervision and mentoring of professionals in the hospital environment. Through the program, students will complete 180 hours of clinical time over two-semester period.

Radiologic Technology Students Earn Perfect Pass Rate Once Again

Warner Robins, Ga. –  For the second consecutive year, students in the Radiologic Technology program on the Warner Robins campus of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) earned a 100 percent pass rate for national certification.
Thirteen graduates are now registered technologists in Radiography after passing the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Examination. The ARRT is the largest credentialing organization that seeks to ensure high-quality patient care in radiologic technology.
