Fort Valley, Ga. – Technicians from all over North America spent the beginning of November at Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Peach County Workforce Development Center taking part in Bluebird’s Factory Based Technician Training, set in motion by the Economic Development Division of the College.

Warner Robins, Ga. – Robins Air Force Base recently reported that seven military spouses at the base graduated with their Certified Nursing Assistant licenses from Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) through the grant-based program.
Classes are delivered out of the College’s Economic Development Division.

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) is unpacking its newest program just in time for its Mini-Mester Session 2. Enrollment is currently open for courses that will begin on March 7, 2019, in the College’s Warehousing & Distribution Specialist program on its Macon campus, a program designed to meet the growth of the distribution industry in central Georgia.
The Certified Warehousing and Distribution Specialist Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) provides instruction that will allow graduates to function safely in the warehouse environment. Read More

Warner Robins, Ga. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently awarded $136,500 from its Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program to Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), positioning the College to be a part of USDA’s $39.6 million investment into more than 4.5 million rural Americans in 40 states, beginning with nearby Jones County.
Several rural-serving institutions nationwide, including CGTC, will use the grant funding to increase access to education, workforce training, and health care opportunities for their communities. Read More

Warner Robins, Ga. – The 2017-2018 Academic Year marks the fifth consecutive year that Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) surpassed 3,000 total graduates, according to state data, becoming the only technical college in Georgia to achieve this benchmark from academic years’ 2014-2018. Harvey, Business Customer Service and Technology instructor, a finalist for its 2017 Vocational Instructor of the Year. Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Aerospace, Trade and Industry program recently completed an agreement with Perdue Farms to offer an industrial systems apprenticeship program, and now the search is on to fill these positions with qualified candidates in middle Georgia.

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Putnam County Center and Economic Development Division have crafted a customized course in response to the construction workforce needs of Putnam County.
Beginning February 26, 2018, the Center will offer the Basic Construction Craft Laborer Skills, a four-week course delivered each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost of the course is $475 per participant, but qualified applicants may take the course free of charge through Work Source Georgia grant funding.
