Governor Kemp Visits VECTR Center

Warner Robins, Ga. – Governor Brian Kemp recently visited the Georgia Veterans Education Transition Resource Center (VECTR) to learn about how the Center and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) are keeping veterans and active duty personnel on-track amid COVID-19.
Governor Kemp met with College leadership members and toured classroom and lab spaces. Part of his visit included a tour of the Center’s latest addition, two industrial lab spaces attached to the current building’s east-end.
One of the lab spaces houses an Industrial Systems program that in partnership with Frito Lay serves as a pipeline for veterans into careers with the food manufacturer. Read More

Heather Williamson of CGTC Given Technical College System of Georgia’s Top Honor

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) announced the state’s top technical college student this week at its 48th annual Georgia Occupational Award for Leadership (GOAL) Conference in Atlanta, giving Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Heather Williamson the honor.

Warner Robins – Sixty-eight years old is better late than never to start telling the truth; that’s why, Thomas Shepler, of Vienna, Ga., pursued his GED® and now represents Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) as one of two 2018 Golden GED® Graduates of the Year for Georgia.

CGTC Leads Technical College System in Graduates for Fifth Year

Warner Robins, Ga. – The 2017-2018 Academic Year marks the fifth consecutive year that Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) surpassed 3,000 total graduates, according to state data, becoming the only technical college in Georgia to achieve this benchmark from academic years’ 2014-2018. Economic Development at CGTC Continues to Meet Industry Demands for Training

Warner Robins, Ga. – As workforce training becomes a higher priority for companies growing in the central Georgia region, the Economic Development Division of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) accounted for 46 percent of the customized contract training hours delivered in the state.

CGTC’s Adult Education Division Takes Home Multiple Awards at Fall Conference
