Foundations of Leadership Series
Ready to step up and lead? This intensive 4-session seminar will help you successfully shift from colleague to leader, giving you a clear leadership framework to operate from. You’ll be prepared to develop a plan of action to utilize applicable skills in essential communication and proven techniques for effectively supervising and managing your team.
Cost: All 4 classes will be $100 each or if the full series is purchased the cost will be $300 for the 4 classes. Classes will be held on the Warner Robins Campus.
Peer to Leader – 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($100)
The Peer to Leader seminar supports new supervisors as they navigate the difficult shift from being part of the team to leading it. Participants learn how to redefine their professional identity and understand the true responsibilities of leadership. The session places strong emphasis on accepting one’s new role, setting healthy boundaries, and taking confident action to lead former peers with respect and authority.

Leadership Overview introduces participants to the essential roles and responsibilities of effective leaders while distinguishing leadership from management. The seminar explores multiple leadership styles, with a particular focus on Servant Leadership and Situational Leadership. Attendees learn how each theory works, when to apply them, and how combining their principles can improve decision-making and team development in real workplace situations.

This seminar teaches leaders how to communicate with purpose, clarity, and impact rather than simply exchanging information. Participants learn the difference between communicating and communicating effectively by examining the factors that influence how messages are received. The session also addresses common communication barriers and filters, providing strategies to overcome them and strengthen professional communication.

Supervising Others expands on the foundational concepts learned in Peer to Leader by focusing on the practical mechanics of managing a team. Leaders learn how to establish structure, set clear expectations, and use SMART goals to create measurable success. The seminar also strengthens skills in delegation, conflict resolution, and building early momentum to ensure a strong start in their supervisory role.

The CGTC Presenters Series is an interactive, performance-based workshop where participants build confidence through continuous practice.
