New AI Tutor Coming Fall Semester for Students

Warner Robins, Ga. – Recent grant funding to support Academic Affairs is providing students access to a brand-new AI Tutor beginning fall semester.
The SCC Grant is providing a sub award for Academic Affairs to roll-out technology and information to students on ethical and acceptable use of AI, as high-demand industries call for employers with AI skills and knowledge.

CGTC Reaches Academic Year Enrollment Record with Over 15,000 Students

Warner Robins, Ga. – As the fall semester begins, Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) enrollment reports revealed that Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) made history. In the fall, spring, and summer semesters of the Academic Year (AY) 2024, a record of more than 15,000 students attended CGTC; a first in its history.

Titan-the-Knot: CGTC Students Get Married While Completing Unique High School Program

Warner Robins, Ga. – High school sweethearts are nothing new, but when it happens in a non-traditional high school run by a technical college, the wedding bells ring a little louder.
Earlier this summer, Mckenzie Martinez married Aden Buenrostro-Valle as they completed high school and Cosmetology and Automotive programs, respectively, in what is known as the Dual Achievement Program (DAP) at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC).

CGTC Football Program Awarded NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant 

Warner Robins, GA– The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Foundation has recently announced Central Georgia Technical College as a recipient of the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant. The CGTC Foundation will receive the $3,000 grant for aid in supporting the expansion of CGTC’s athletics program to include Division I Football.   
The NJCAA Foundation established the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant to foster the addition, growth, and sustainability of NJCAA sports. The grant is available for NJCAA member colleges that are expanding sport offerings and increasing opportunities for student-athletes.  Read More

CGTC Signs Collaborative Agreement for International Education with ZBC in Denmark

Warner Robins, Ga. – In May, Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with ZBC, a technical college in Denmark. The agreement is set to maximize international learning opportunities for faculty and staff at both institutions.

CGTC SGA Opens Community Garden on Warner Robins Campus

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students in the Student Government Association (SGA) took on a creative initiative to open a community garden this spring to help foster community and healthy living. CGTC Becomes the First College Campus in Central Georgia to Open a Disc Golf Course 

Warner Robins, Ga. – A new campus life activity launched this spring as Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and the Houston County Disc Golf Club (HCDGC) partnered to bring an 18-hole competition-level disc golf course to its Warner Robins campus.

Atlanta, Ga.- The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) announced the state’s top instructor for 2024.Sharoko Farley, a Commercial Truck Driving instructor from Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), was chosen as the winner of this year’s Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction.

CGTC Students Recognized at State Leadership Conference

Warner Robins, Ga. – Three Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students took part in The Technical College System of Georgia’s State Leadership Conference in April, returning home with some recognition and awards for their involvement.  
Roshon Jackson, Nandhi Mathis, and Donald Masinde, students from CGTC were present at the conference and received several awards. Students participated in an itinerary filled with workshops and motivational speakers that encouraged leadership and effective communication.
