Nursing student, Akira Lawrence, shares her success in global education with faculty selected for the national global workforce initiative.
Warner Robins, Ga. – Eleven Central Georgia Technical College faculty members have been selected to participate in the 2026 Global Workforce Initiative (GWI), a nationally recognized faculty development program designed to strengthen career and technical education through global workforce integration.
Funded through Indiana University’s Center for the Study of Global Change, the six-month initiative prepares educators to align classroom instruction with the skills increasingly sought by globally connected industries. Read More

Agreement creates a streamlined pathway for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and South Georgia State College (SGSC) have established a curriculum articulation agreement designed to help students pursuing an Associate of Science in Education at CGTC transition to a Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Special Education at SGSC.
The agreement strengthens collaboration between the two institutions by creating a structured transfer pathway intended to minimize the loss of academic credit and reduce the duplication of coursework as students continue their education. Read More

CGTC and Albany State University Sign MOU with Athletic Transfer Focus

Albany, Ga. – Albany State University (ASU) and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in September to streamline higher education access, transfer, and degree completion support for CGTC students, with an emphasis on student-athlete support.

CGTC Welding Program Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to Support Local Children and Families

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students in the Aerospace, Trade and Industry Division spent part of the fall semester giving back to the nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace Warner Robins.
As part of the partnership, students and faculty constructed three dip tanks specifically designed for staining bed components used by Sleep in Heavenly Peace as the organization works to provide beds to children in need throughout the community.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Warner Robins is part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to building and providing beds to children who do not have a proper bed of their own. Read More

Speir Employee Earns GED Through Central Georgia Technical College Adult Education Program, Advances Career with Apprenticeship
