CGTC Students and Staff Take Part in Spring Break Volunteer Experience Abroad

Warner Robins, Ga. – A handful of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students and staff took part in volunteer projects over Spring Break at Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras.
Nneka Illonah, Haley Schaffer, Katie Jelly, and Maddie Moseley joined staff from Dental Hygiene and Academic Affairs serving as needed across the orphanage leveraging their skills from their program areas like nursing, dental Hygiene and cosmetology.

CGTC Nursing Students Continue to Aid Vaccination Efforts

Warner Robins, Ga. – Last week Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Registered Nursing (RN) students once again stepped in to meet the needs of local health systems in administering vaccines to the public. 
As a part of Houston Healthcare’s Phase 1A+ of vaccination allocation which includes doses designated for healthcare workers, long-term care staff and residents, adults over the age of 65, their caregivers, and first responders, CGTC’s nursing students registered and assisted with vaccine administration. CGTC’s Institutional Effectiveness Staff Donate Gifts to Children of Two Local Organizations

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Office of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) and its staff decided this holiday season it would give back to the community instead of a traditional gift exchange among staff members. The staff purchased gifts for children who are residents of or receive services from two of central Georgia’s charitable organizations, The Methodist Home for Children and Youth in Macon and the Rainbow House Children’s Resource Center (Rainbow House CRC) in Warner Robins.
