CGTC Diesel Program Receives Equipment Donation from Rush Truck Centers

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Diesel Equipment Technology program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently received a donation of new Navistar diesel engines, toolboxes, and an electronic system trainer from Rush Truck Centers in Macon to help grow the program and meet industry standards.

BB&T Foundation Awards $50,000 Grant to CGTC for New Workforce Initiative for Adult Education Students

Macon, Ga. – Reaching a livable income without a high school education often requires adults to advance gradually through adult education programs, job training, and then into a career, a process the BB&T Foundation aims to accelerate with its recent $50,000 award to the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation.
Working alongside the College’s Foundation, Economic Development, and Adult Education Divisions, BB&T is funding the BB&T Workforce Investment Program, a collaborative opportunity focused on impacting individuals through short-term education and training programs designed to quickly move participants toward securing and sustaining a livable wage. CHSGa Establishes a New Scholarship Fund for Nursing Students at CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – The CHSGa Practical Nursing Scholarship is a new scholarship that became available this summer to students in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) thanks to a fund created by CHSGa. CHSGa, a non-profit healthcare system, presented the College’s Foundation with a $6,000 check to provide scholarships to qualified students enrolled in the LPN program.
