Adult Education Division at CGTC Exceeds Goals for FY2023

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Adult Education Division at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) has had a steady climb back to pre-COVID enrollment numbers in its programs, as the College recently announced the Division eclipsed 1,800 enrolled students in FY2023. This represents a 16.8% enrollment increase from FY2022. The number of High School Credential graduates for the Division also grew by 13% with 252 students earning a credential in FY2023.

CGTC’s Adult Education Division Names Carlie Brumley of Dooly County as EAGLE Delegate

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Adult Education Division (AED) recently announced, Dooly County resident, Carlie Brumley, 24, as its 2022 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) delegate.
Nominated by her instructor, Ethel Ross, and having participated in the College’s judging process, Brumley will now represent CGTC and the AED at the Dinah Culbreth Wayne EAGLE Leadership Institute in Atlanta, March 14-16, 2022.  The Leadership Institute recognizes and honors the state’s adult education students who have demonstrated superior achievement in their classes and programs. Former GED® Student at CGTC Earns Statewide Recognition

Warner Robins, Ga. –  The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) named 2019 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) delegate from Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), Virginia Scott, its Spirit and Social Media Award Winner for her enthusiasm amongst her fellow delegates during its recent adult education conference.

CGTC’s Adult Education Division to Host Recruitment Event at Newest Center

BB&T Foundation Awards $50,000 Grant to CGTC for New Workforce Initiative for Adult Education Students

Macon, Ga. – Reaching a livable income without a high school education often requires adults to advance gradually through adult education programs, job training, and then into a career, a process the BB&T Foundation aims to accelerate with its recent $50,000 award to the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation.
Working alongside the College’s Foundation, Economic Development, and Adult Education Divisions, BB&T is funding the BB&T Workforce Investment Program, a collaborative opportunity focused on impacting individuals through short-term education and training programs designed to quickly move participants toward securing and sustaining a livable wage. Warner Robins – Sixty-eight years old is better late than never to start telling the truth; that’s why, Thomas Shepler, of Vienna, Ga., pursued his GED® and now represents Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) as one of two 2018 Golden GED® Graduates of the Year for Georgia.

CGTC Adult Education Students Win Lion King Experience

Hawkinsville, Ga. – The circle of most students’ academic lives is not even much of a circle at all, but the actual shapes do reveal wonderful insights.
