Central Georgia Technical College Announces Fall Semester 2018 President’s Honor Roll

Warner Robins, Ga. – Dr. Ivan Allen, president of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), announced recently students named to the Central Georgia Technical College President’s Honor Roll for Fall Semester 2018.
To qualify, students must be in Academic Good Standing, earn a semester-based grade point average of 4.0 with an earned course load of at least 12 credit hours for the semester, and a work ethics grade of “2” or higher for each course completed.
More than 1,400 students across 48 counties in Georgia earned recognition. Read More

CGTC’s Adult Education Division to Host Recruitment Event at Newest Center

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Adult Education Division (AED) of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) is making the final additions to its newest educational center set to open for its first recruitment event Friday, March 8, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The CGTC Adult Education Career Training (AECT) Center, located at 400 Elberta Rd. in Warner Robins, will bridge adult education initiatives of the College for citizens in south Bibb and north Houston counties. New CGTC Warehousing and Distribution Program to Begin March 7

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) is unpacking its newest program just in time for its Mini-Mester Session 2.  Enrollment is currently open for courses that will begin on March 7, 2019, in the College’s Warehousing & Distribution Specialist program on its Macon campus, a program designed to meet the growth of the distribution industry in central Georgia.
The Certified Warehousing and Distribution Specialist Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) provides instruction that will allow graduates to function safely in the warehouse environment. Read More

Female Dual Enrollment Student in Putnam County Wins a Very Non-traditional Beta Club Competition

Eatonton, Ga. – Putnam County High School (PCHS) dual enrollment student, Annabell Sapp, put new-fashioned welding skills to the test for the 80th Annual Senior Beta Convention held in January for Georgia’s high school Beta clubs, winning 1st place in a competition for a technical subject largely dominated by her male counterparts.
Sapp assembled metal roses for her submission to the Sculpture Division 1 competition, a skill learned in her Welding Studies course at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC). Read More

CGTC Announces Public Meeting for Initial Accreditation for Nursing Programs

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Division of Nursing will host a public meeting as a part of a site review for initial accreditation of its associate degree and practical nursing degree programs on February 27, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. on the College’s Warner Robins campus auditorium in Building-A.
The Division welcomes the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) who will conduct the meeting and site review. ACEN and the College encourage members of the public to speak in-person and comment on the scope of each program’s development and impact. Read More
