Warner Robins, Ga. — Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Dual Achievement Academy is launching a series of informational nights for students and families interested in learning more about the Dual Achievement Program (DAP).
DAP offers a unique opportunity for students to earn both a high school diploma and postsecondary credentials simultaneously, paving the way for a successful future in a specialized career pathway.
“We have seen numerous students excel over the past 3 years in this model for high school,” said Lakeitha Gordon, executive director and principal for the CGTC Academy -Dual Achievement Program. “We look forward to informing more parents and families about how simple it is for their student to excel through us.”
The first informational night will take place on March 25th at the Macon Campus of CGTC, inside the Building H Auditorium, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The second event will be held on March 27th at the Warner Robins Campus, A Building Auditorium, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The final session will be hosted at the Milledgeville Campus on April 8th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the H Building Conference Room.
The Dual Achievement Program established by Georgia SB204 provides qualified students with an alternative and recognized pathway to meet high school graduation requirements. Through this program, students can simultaneously earn a high school diploma and choose from various technical certificates, a technical diploma, or even an associate degree in a specific career field.
These informational nights are a great opportunity for students and their families to get detailed information on the program, including eligibility requirements, application processes, and how the DAP can benefit students as they prepare for successful careers.
