Macon, Ga. – The Peyton Anderson Foundation recently announced an award of $630,000 to Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) to support local employer and workforce needs in high-demand career training programs. This grant, which will be distributed over a four year period, will specifically support the expansion of CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) and Aircraft Structural Technology (AST) programs.
In April, state and local leaders and Robins Air Force Base (RAFB) officials joined CGTC in announcing the relocation of aerospace training programs and a portion of the RAFB commodities workload to the former Boeing facility at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon. Read More
