Ricky Nicklow, an employee of Speir & Associates Electrical Contractors, successfully earned his General Educational Development (GED) credential through CGTC in less than one month, now he qualifies for the SPEIR apprenticeship program through CGTC. Central Georgia Technical College Announces Approval of Dr. Sonny Perdue Administration
Building Naming

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) has announced the approval of the naming of its Administration building on the Warner Robins campus as the “Dr. Sonny Perdue Administration Building,” honoring Dr. George Ervin “Sonny” Perdue, III for his distinguished record of public service and steadfast support of higher education in Georgia.

Takoradi Technical University Visit CGTC Campus Amidst Broader Discussion on International Education

Warner Robins, Ga. – Seven guests from LIFE League and Takoradi Technical University in Takoradi, Ghana, visited Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Warner Robins campus late in the Spring semester. The visit allowed both institutions the opportunity to continue discussions on initiatives in international education and student mobility.

CGTC and Georgia VECTR Center Receive $300K in Federal Grant to Help Veterans Find Jobs After Leaving Armed Forces 

Warner Robins, Ga. – U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff recently announced new resources to help veterans find jobs after they leave the Armed Forces, including $300,000 in grant funding awarded to Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center (VECTR).   
Bipartisan legislation passed in February led to this funding to support organizations across Georgia that help veterans find jobs once they leave the Armed Forces. 
The CGTC Foundation will work with the VECTR Center to administer the funding.
