WINNER SELECTED AMONG SIX INSTRUCTORS NAMED SEMI-FINALISTS FOR EXCELLENCE IN TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently named, Deryk Stoops, an Automation Technology instructor in the Aerospace, Trade, and Industry Division as its 2026 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction Winner.
Stoops is originally from Camden County, Georgia and has worked for CGTC for seven years, after previously working in the System at South Georgia Technical College in Americus. Read More

CGTC’S Adult Education EAGLE Delegate Selected as one of Eight Regional Finalists

Warner Robins, Ga. — The Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) Adult Education Office recently announced Tequita Brown of CGTC as a finalist for its 2025 Dinah Culbreth Wayne Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) award.
Brown, nominated by her instructor, Lisa Dennis, participated in the College’s comprehensive judging process in the fall semester to be named its representative for competition in January. As one of the eight EAGLE regional finalists across Georgia she will represent CGTC at the 2025 EAGLE Leadership Institute in Atlanta in March 2025. Read More
