Embraer Foundation Donates $15,000 for Aviation Students at CGTC

Macon, Ga. – The Embraer Foundation highlighted Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) aviation students at a special event at the Peyton Anderson Aviation Lab, part of the Central Georgia Aerospace Training and Sustainment Center at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport. Dr. Brian Snelgrove Named Central Georgia Technical College’s 2025 Alumni of the Year 

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently announced Dr. Brian Snelgrove as the recipient of the 2025 Alumni of the Year Award, recognizing his outstanding leadership, innovation, and service to the College and the broader Central Georgia community. 
 
A graduate of Middle Georgia Technical Institute with a diploma in Automotive Technology in 1995, one of the pre-merger institutions that went on to form CGTC in 2013, Snelgrove currently serves as Chief Information Officer of Technology at the College.

Middle Georgia State University And Central Georgia Technical College Formalize Transfer Pathways For New Associate’s Degrees

Macon, GA  – Central Georgia Technical College students who complete new associate’s degrees in education, social work, psychology, or criminal justice can now transfer seamlessly into bachelor’s programs at Middle Georgia State University.
That’s thanks to a formal transfer agreement leaders of both institutions signed at an October 2 event at Middle Georgia State’s (MGA’s) Macon Campus.
Under the agreement, Central Georgia Tech (CGTC) students who complete any of the four associate’s degree programs will have those credits accepted toward a comparable bachelor’s degree at MGA if they meet the University’s required admission and transfer standards. Read More

Global Initiatives Office Now Accepting Interest Forms for Humanities 1101 Study Abroad Ireland Summer 2026

Georgia Military College and Central Georgia Technical College Partner to Expand Transfer Opportunities and Strengthen Shared Community

Milledgeville, Ga. – Georgia Military College (GMC) and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) have taken an exciting step forward in creating new opportunities for students and our shared community. Dean Stirland Makes History as First International Nurse to Complete GBON Program at CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) student, Dean Stirland, an internationally educated nurse from the United Kingdom, recently became the first international registered nurse to complete a new Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON)-approved pathway at CGTC.

CGTC Police and Local Law Enforcement Clear Active Shooter Threat on Macon Campus of Central Georgia Technical College, August 26 

Macon, Ga. –  At 2:25 pm on Tuesday, local law enforcement and the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) police gave an “all-clear” to the lockdown and shelter in place advisory for the Macon campus of CGTC, as it had responded to 911 calls about an active shooter threat.   Normal campus operations have resumed.   Shortly after 1 pm, a 911 call was made to Macon-Bibb County dispatch of an active shooter threat on the College’s Macon Campus.
