Global Initiatives Office Now Accepting Interest Forms for Humanities 1101 Study Abroad Ireland Summer 2026

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Office of Global Initiatives is excited to announce that Humanities 1101 in Ireland will be available for regular-credit students for the summer semester 2026.

Georgia Military College and Central Georgia Technical College Partner to Expand Transfer Opportunities and Strengthen Shared Community

Milledgeville, Ga. – Georgia Military College (GMC) and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) have taken an exciting step forward in creating new opportunities for students and our shared community. The two institutions have signed a new articulation agreement that not only paves a seamless path for CGTC graduates to continue their education at GMC but also strengthens the skilled workforce across central Georgia.

Dean Stirland Makes History as First International Nurse to Complete GBON Program at CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) student, Dean Stirland, an internationally educated nurse from the United Kingdom, recently became the first international registered nurse to complete a new Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON)-approved pathway at CGTC.
Stirland, a UK-licensed Registered Nurse who relocated to Georgia with his military spouse, recently completed his required pediatric clinical hours at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, a critical step toward the endorsement of his nursing license in the state of Georgia. CGTC Police and Local Law Enforcement Clear Active Shooter Threat on Macon Campus of Central Georgia Technical College, August 26 

Macon, Ga. –  At 2:25 pm on Tuesday, local law enforcement and the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) police gave an “all-clear” to the lockdown and shelter in place advisory for the Macon campus of CGTC, as it had responded to 911 calls about an active shooter threat.   Normal campus operations have resumed.   Shortly after 1 pm, a 911 call was made to Macon-Bibb County dispatch of an active shooter threat on the College’s Macon Campus. CGTC Police Department Achieves State Certification Through Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police
