CGTC Names Semi-Finalists for GOAL Program

Warner Robins, Ga. – Four Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students have been selected as the college’s semi-finalists for the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL), and will move on to the next round of judging November 30.

Warner Robins, Ga. – As Physical Therapy Month in October comes to end the same week as Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Cross Country regular season schedule, the clinical coordinator for the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program, Elizabeth Bell, has no intention of slowing down.

VECTR Center Announces Success in “Unite Georgia” Pilot Program Aimed at Connecting Veterans with Resources; Decreases Wait Times by 300%

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center is announcing the success of a Central Georgia pilot program, UniteUS, whose electronic referral platform connects servicemen and women with social services to assist with the transition back into civilian life. VECTR and Unite US have partnered together to support Unite Georgia, a coordinated care network of health and social care providers.

CGTC Adult Education Division to Celebrate National Literacy Month with Community Event September 24

Macon, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Adult Education Division (AED) is celebrating National Literacy Month with its Celebration of Literacy event on September 24, 2021 at the Jones Center of the College’s Macon Campus on 3300 Macon Tech Dr., from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will feature a career fair, program recruitment, live radio remote from a local DJ, Tex James, career cultivation and enhancement, lunch and giveaways. The AED actively engages the community to support its mission of adult education and literacy in Middle Georgia. Read More

CGTC Diesel Program Receives Equipment Donation from Rush Truck Centers

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Diesel Equipment Technology program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently received a donation of new Navistar diesel engines, toolboxes, and an electronic system trainer from Rush Truck Centers in Macon to help grow the program and meet industry standards.

CGTC Campuses, Instructional Sites to Suspend On-Campus Classes and Most Operations Friday, September 3

Warner Robins, Ga.—In response to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s recent decision to offer administrative leave to encourage state employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, CGTC campuses and instructional sites will suspend classes and operate on a limited basis on Friday, September 3. The College’s Child Development Center locations will remain open for families and children and customized business and industry training courses will continue as scheduled.

REACH Organization Members Spend Summer as Young Professionals

The Virtual Action Roundtable (VART) that took place on July 29 as a part of this project has produced action. The VART gave employer-partners the opportunity to co-design meaningful strategies to improve belonging and inclusion in the workplace for employees of color. The employer-partners involved in the project issued this statement following the VART.
