VECTR Center Announces Success in “Unite Georgia” Pilot Program Aimed at Connecting Veterans with Resources; Decreases Wait Times by 300%

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center is announcing the success of a Central Georgia pilot program, UniteUS, whose electronic referral platform connects servicemen and women with social services to assist with the transition back into civilian life. CGTC Adult Education Division to Celebrate National Literacy Month with Community Event September 24

Macon, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Adult Education Division (AED) is celebrating National Literacy Month with its Celebration of Literacy event on September 24, 2021 at the Jones Center of the College’s Macon Campus on 3300 Macon Tech Dr., from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

CGTC Diesel Program Receives Equipment Donation from Rush Truck Centers

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Diesel Equipment Technology program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently received a donation of new Navistar diesel engines, toolboxes, and an electronic system trainer from Rush Truck Centers in Macon to help grow the program and meet industry standards.

CGTC Campuses, Instructional Sites to Suspend On-Campus Classes and Most Operations Friday, September 3

Warner Robins, Ga.—In response to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s recent decision to offer administrative leave to encourage state employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, CGTC campuses and instructional sites will suspend classes and operate on a limited basis on Friday, September 3. The College’s Child Development Center locations will remain open for families and children and customized business and industry training courses will continue as scheduled.
