Heather Williamson of CGTC Given Technical College System of Georgia’s Top Honor

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) announced the state’s top technical college student this week at its 48th annual Georgia Occupational Award for Leadership (GOAL) Conference in Atlanta, giving Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Heather Williamson the honor.

Consul General of Ireland Meets with CGTC Dual Enrollment Students Ahead of Inaugural Summer Study Abroad

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Consul General of Ireland for the southeastern United States, Hon. Shane Stephens, visited the Warner Robins campus of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) on Thursday to speak with high school dual enrollment students who will be studying abroad this June in Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland.
Stephens, a guest of the Office of Global Initiatives and it’s executive director, Rick Hutto, came to celebrate the first cohort of high school dual enrollment students in the State of Georgia to earn academic college credit while studying abroad through a technical or community college. Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority, Robins AFB, CGTC Announce Aviation Workforce Training and Sustainment Center

Macon, Ga. – Students enrolled in aerospace training programs at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) will soon have the opportunity to learn in a first-of-its-kind partnership alongside Robins Air Force Base (Robins AFB) employees, working on active aviation repair and maintenance projects.
The Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, Robins AFB, and CGTC announced Friday a new state aviation workforce training and sustainment approach located at the former Boeing facility at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MGRA). The announcement revealed that members of the 402 Commodities Maintenance Group (402 CMXG) at Robins AFB and two of the College’s aerospace training programs are planning to relocate to approximately 240,000 square feet of property at the airport. Warner Robins, Ga. – The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) named 2019 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) delegate from Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), Virginia Scott, its Spirit and Social Media Award Winner for her enthusiasm amongst her fellow delegates during its recent adult education conference.

Radiologic Technology Students Return from Conference with New Knowledge and a First Place Award

Central Georgia Technical College Announces Fall Semester 2018 President’s Honor Roll

Warner Robins, Ga. – Dr. Ivan Allen, president of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), announced recently students named to the Central Georgia Technical College President’s Honor Roll for Fall Semester 2018.
To qualify, students must be in Academic Good Standing, earn a semester-based grade point average of 4.0 with an earned course load of at least 12 credit hours for the semester, and a work ethics grade of “2” or higher for each course completed.
