The movie will be presented in the College’s Macon campus H-Building Auditorium and Warner Robins campus A-Building Auditorium, March 12 and March 19, 2019, respectively, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

No Small Matter explores the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.

The film is built from stories of real children, families, and teachers, illustrating the impact of high-quality early childhood experiences.

The screening is free and the program invites the public to attend. Following the screening, a discussion session will be held to engage the public, community leaders, parents, educators and caregivers in attendance.

Early Childhood Education professionals in the state can earn up to three hours of the Georgia Department of Early Childhood and Learning (DECAL) approved credit by attending and paying a separate $15 handling charge.
