CGTC Adult Education and Bibb County Schools to Serve International Communities with Curbside Food Drive October 16

Macon, Ga. – The Adult Education Division (AED) of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) is partnering with the Bibb County School District (BCSD) to host a curbside food drive event to include the international community.
The International Curbside Food Event and Festival: Food, Information, and Services organized by CGTC and BCSD will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on October 16, 2020, at the Macon Campus Building-K of CGTC.

Georgia VECTR Center Awarded Workforce Development Grant

Warner Robins, Ga. – IT certifications will soon be available to transitioning Guard, Reserves and military spouses thanks to a grant awarded to the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center. 
 The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Workforce Development office recently awarded the $60,000 Defense Economic Community Grant to support military communities by enhancing workforce development.  
 The Defense Economic Community Grant specifically awards funds to support military personnel and their families, and that’s exactly what the VECTR Center intends to do.

CGTC Macon Adult Education Serves Community with Curbside Back-to-School Bash

The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Adult Education Division alongside event partner, Well Care Inc., recently held its Curbside Back-to-School Bash on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Adult Education K-Building on the Macon campus.
The event and its participants gave away book bags, school supplies, masks, and more to aide Bibb County students in preparation for the school year.
