Sharoko Farley of Eatonton Named 2024 RPA Instructor of The Year for CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – Commercial Truck Driving instructor, Sharoko Farley, was recently named Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Rick Perkins Award (RPA) Winner for Excellence in Technical Instruction for 2024. Farley was selected as the College’s Instructor of the Year through a multi-step interview process after being nominated by his peers for the award.

David Watts of Bibb County Chosen as CGTC’s GOAL Winner

Warner Robins, Ga. – David Watts, an Aviation Maintenance Technology student at Central Georgia Technical College, from Bibb County, has been named the College’s winner of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) for 2024.

Lisa Dennis Named Adult Education Outstanding Teacher of The Year

Warner Robins, Ga. – Adult Education Instructor Lisa Dennis has been named the Adult Education Outstanding Teacher of the Year (OTOY).
Lisa Dennis is a Macon-Bibb County resident and was a non-traditional student who graduated from Fort Valley State University in 2000; she began volunteer efforts at her home church’s adult literacy program in the same year which led to a 22-year path of adult education service with Central Georgia Technical College.

Warner Robins, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently announced its five students for the 2024 Georgia Occupational Award for Leadership (GOAL) Program.

CGTC Putnam Center Welcomes Back CDL Program

Eatonton, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) is scheduled to have the Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) program at the Putnam Center in January, with a first week of online instruction starting in December.
The six-week program starts with the first week of online instruction December 4-12, 2023. The driving portion of the class will begin January 9 and will end Feb. 12, 2024, at the Putnam Center. Classes are held Monday-Friday 8:00 am-2:45 pm.

CGTC Director of Nursing, Jessica Willcox, Named to Georgia Board of Nursing 

Atlanta, Ga. – Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recently appointed Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), director of Nursing, Jessica Lupo Willcox, as member to the Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON).
