Macon, Ga. – Expectations elevated to new heights this summer for one of Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) key, student programs. The Raising Expectations of Achievement (REACH) program took part in a variety of activities, empowering students to expand their abilities.

Delta Air Lines TechOps Partners with CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Program in Pursuit of College’s Premier Talent

Warner Robins, Ga. – Delta Air Lines TechOps now has preferred access to highly-skilled mechanics from Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Aviation Maintenance Technology program (AMT), as a recently developed partnership saw the College selected as a preferred training institution for airframe and power plant technicians. Robins Financial Credit Union Donates More than $4,000 to Georgia VECTR Center

Warner Robins, Ga. – Robins Financial Credit Union recently contributed over $132,000 to eight organizations as part of their annual Community Project, including $4,173.50 to the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition (VECTR) Center.

Robert Landau Honored for Service to CGTC Board of Directors

Warner Robins, Ga. – Robert ‘Bob’ Landau of Eatonton was recently honored for his years of service to the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Board of Directors. SkillsUSA Competitors from CGTC Return to Campus with Gold Medal in Hand

Warner Robins, Ga. – Members of the SkillsUSA student organization at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently brought home their first gold medal in the Chapter Display category of the SkillsUSA Nationals competition.
Thomas Butler, Alison Crumb, and QaNeshia Mays earned gold by building a three-dimensional display that articulates the annual theme for the organization’s national competition, “Champions at Work, Job Ready Day One,” held in Louisville, Ky.

CGTC’s Macon Childcare Center Undergoes Expansion, New Grant to Subsidize Tuition for Eligible Families

Macon, Ga – Expansion to Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) on its Macon campus is bringing a three-year-old preschool childcare program to families and with the announcement of a new grant aimed at cutting tuition cost, children of students enrolled at the College will have greater access to affordable, quality childcare.

CGTC Student Receives Study Abroad Scholarship, Third Student in Three Years

Warner Robins, Ga. – For the third time in three years, Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Office of Global Initiatives will have an international study abroad scholarship winner join its summer trip.
Shasheen Kher, a student pursuing an Associates of Applied Science with the College, learned he was the recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship by email during the spring semester.
