CHSGa Establishes a New Scholarship Fund for Nursing Students at CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – The CHSGa Practical Nursing Scholarship is a new scholarship that became available this summer to students in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) thanks to a fund created by CHSGa. CHSGa, a non-profit healthcare system, presented the College’s Foundation with a $6,000 check to provide scholarships to qualified students enrolled in the LPN program.

CGTC Foundation Announces Scholarship in Memory of Local Shooting Victim

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation recently announced a new scholarship fund named in honor of Parker Killian Moore, the 23-year-old Barberitos employee killed in a shooting on Watson Boulevard in January.
The Parker Killian Moore Memorial Scholarship (PKMMS) will be awarded to one deserving student who meets qualifications, which include, being a single parent, receiving little or no financial assistance, and acceptance into the Associate of Science in Nursing program at the College. Read More

First Cohort of Associate Degree Nursing Students Set to Graduate

Warner Robins, Ga. – Student nurses at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) put their final hours of clinicals behind them last week, and now look ahead to graduation as the College’s first Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree cohort.

CGTC Students and Houston Healthcare Nurses Celebrate First Semester of Innovative Program

Warner Robins, Ga. – Students in the clinical portion of the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program at Central Georgia Technical College have completed the inaugural semester of a first-of-its-kind program at the Houston Medical Center.
The Dedicated Education Nurses (DEN) program combines the clinical work of students with the supervision and mentoring of professionals in the hospital environment. Through the program, students will complete 180 hours of clinical time over two-semester period.
