Nursing Student, Akira Lawrence, Becomes First CGTC Student Accepted Into Summer Global Leadership Institute in New York City 

Warner Robins, Ga. – Akira Lawrence, a nursing student at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), is the first CGTC student to be selected to participate in the Summer Global Leadership Institute in New York City, hosted by the Borough of Manhattan Community College.  
The Institute is a week-long program set in the heart of New York City and is designed to help students better understand global diplomacy.

The Aspen Institute Names CGTC as a Top 150 U.S. Community Colleges Eligible for the 2025 Aspen Prize

 

WASHINGTON D.C., – The Aspen Institute has named Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) as one of the 150 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges.
