CGTC Awarded $3.9 Million Grant to Enhance Education Through Artificial Intelligence

Macon, Ga. – The U.S. Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) recently announced an award of $3.9 million in grant funds to Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) for support and enhancement of artificial intelligence (AI) teaching and learning tools.
By incorporating cutting-edge AI tools, AI-supported instructional practices, and AI-related content into high-impact academic programs, CGTC looks to set its academic programs in-line with the nation picture of AI advancement.

Central Georgia Technical College Awarded $3.66 Million to Expand Nursing Workforce

Funding will help address critical nurse shortages in rural and underserved areas 
Macon, Ga. – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) has been awarded $3.66 million through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
This grant, provided as part of the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Workforce Expansion Program (WEP), will be distributed over four years to strengthen the nursing workforce in acute and long-term care settings across rural and underserved communities. Read More

CGTC Football Program Awarded NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant 

Warner Robins, GA– The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Foundation has recently announced Central Georgia Technical College as a recipient of the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant. The CGTC Foundation will receive the $3,000 grant for aid in supporting the expansion of CGTC’s athletics program to include Division I Football.   
The NJCAA Foundation established the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant to foster the addition, growth, and sustainability of NJCAA sports. The grant is available for NJCAA member colleges that are expanding sport offerings and increasing opportunities for student-athletes.  Read More
