We have a long-standing tradition and successful history of producing quality IT graduates. College faculty work with industry advisors and Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) state-wide curriculum developers to ensure course offerings and curriculum meet current best industry practices.
Our Computer Programming, Computer Support Specialist, Networking and Web Design student graduates are successful in their chosen fields. The Computer Programming curriculum focuses on current programming methods and techniques in languages that are in high demand. Computer Support Specialist graduates are prepared to provide technical assistance directly to computer users in addition to troubleshooting and maintaining computer equipment. CGTC became a Cisco Training Academy in 1998. Networking curriculum provides students with the opportunity to obtain roles as networking specialists utilizing the skills obtained through hands-on training that prepares them to become networking specialists. Security training has been a vital component of our programs for years. Students are encouraged to take CompTIA certifications and Cisco CCNA Security certifications to help them certify and document to employers the skills they have learned at CGTC. Based on current demand in industry CGTC began offering a state approved cybersecurity program in 2020.
