Macon, Ga. – The Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium (GEICC) recently hosted the 2025 Energy Career & Job Expo at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), bringing together more than 350 high school students from six Georgia school districts to explore career paths in the state’s growing energy and industrial construction industries.
The Expo served as a dynamic platform to connect students directly with industry professionals and organizations shaping Georgia’s energy future.
Through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and real-world demonstrations, participants gained valuable insight into the technical skills, innovation, and career opportunities powering the energy sector.
School districts represented included Atlanta Public Schools, Bibb County, Dooly County, Henry County, Houston County, and Jefferson County.
Participating companies included, Atlanta Gas Light Georgia Power, Georgia System Operations Corporation, Georgia Transmission Corporation, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Pike Electric Corporation.
The 2025 GEICC Energy Career & Job Expo reflects a shared commitment to workforce development, collaboration, and education, helping prepare students for meaningful, sustainable careers that strengthen Georgia’s economy and energy infrastructure.
