Transform Your Career in Putnam County and Become a Certified Nursing Assistant Through CGTC

Eatonton, Ga. – This summer the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Putnam County Center is offering residents an accelerated course to earn certification for a high-demand healthcare career.

During the upcoming summer semester, students can earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in just 8 weeks.

“Healthcare careers are in demand and there is a need for highly trained and skilled individuals to enter the workforce,” said Frances Hewell, the CGTC program chair for CNA. “We want to equip residents of Putnam County to transform their careers and be a part of this industry.”

CGTC consistently offers programs to increase the workforce of rural industries in its centers across its 11-county service area. The College is pleased to offer this course in the Putnam County community.

The course will consist of 111 classroom hours and 24 clinical hours divided into three shifts at Eatonton Health & Rehabilitation under the careful supervision of an instructor.

Classes start June 5, 2023, and conclude July 28, 2023.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be certified in CPR Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, receive a Certificate of Completion for Nursing Assistance Program, and be eligible to sit for the CNA State Exam.
