Technical College System of Georgia to Raise Tuition Rate

June 7, 2019

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) State Board recently approved an $11 increase in the tuition rate for all 22 of Georgia’s technical colleges. The tuition increase will go into effect beginning in the fall 2019 semester.

Since its last tuition increase in 2014, the tuition rate at TCSG colleges has remained at $89 per credit hour. After careful consideration, TCSG decided to increase the amount to $100 per credit hour.

The increase will allow the technical colleges to meet the needs of students and industry while remaining one of the most affordable postsecondary options in the state.

Central Georgia Technical College offers several financial aid options to help students cover the cost of tuition. Opportunities exist for students to enroll at CGTC tuition-free through the HOPE Career Grant. The Hope Career Grant is available to eligible students interested in pursuing a diploma or certificate program in one of 17 high-demand career fields.
