July 24, 2024

Macon, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff visited Central Georgia Technical College on Monday to discuss his work in pushing to help more Georgians access job training programs.

On Monday, Sen. Ossoff held a press conference alongside Central Georgia Technical College leadership and Macon local leaders to highlight his bipartisan Pathways to Prosperity Act, legislation he helped introduce alongside Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock and Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) aimed at strengthening job training and skills programs at community and technical colleges.

The bipartisan bill would strengthen and expand the existing Strengthening Community Colleges Grant Program, a federal program that provides competitive grants to community and technical colleges to support partnerships between colleges and employers.

Jon Ossoff is the Senior United States Senator from the state of Georgia. Elected in 2021, he currently serves on the powerful Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; Judiciary; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Rules Committees. He also serves as Chair of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Human Rights.
