Northside High School Senior Earns Recognition for Artwork in Statewide Manufacturer’s Appreciation Design Contest

Warner Robins, Ga. – A Northside High School student earned honorable mention recognition in the 2018 Manufacturing Appreciation Week (MAW) student art design contest. Governor Nathan Deal and the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) recognized Eagles senior, Michael Busselle, during the MAW Governor’s Awards Luncheon on April 12, 2018 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.

Alongside other Georgia primary and secondary school winners and, Busselle and his peers learned about the impact of manufacturing on the state’s economy, as the state awarded its manufacturers of the year.

Earlier this year, students from around the state submitted design entries featuring Georgia manufacturers and their products. CGTC serves as a local sponsor of the design contest in the 11-county service area of the College. Students in all local elementary, middle, and high schools were invited to participate.

The College extends congratulations to Busselle on his achievement.

The awards luncheon is the highlight of MAW, celebrated this year April 9-12. Co-hosted by the Technical College System of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, MAW brings attention to this significant component of Georgia’s economy. Winning entries from across the state were displayed at the luncheon.
