Warner Robins, Ga. – On Wednesday, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)
announced its National Academic Teams for 2025-2026 and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC)
2025-2026 Titans’ Women’s Basketball Team earned the top spot for Women’s Basketball nationally.
The NJCAA Academic All-American Team honor comes as a result of the team’s 3.87 GPA. The 3.87 is
the highest GPA nationwide among NJCAA Women’s Basketball programs for 2025-2026. It is 3rd
highest GPA among all sports.
The Women’s Basketball Team was 1 of 31 teams nationwide to receive the NJCAA’s highest academic
honor. They are also the only program within the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) and
the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to earn a spot on the NJCAA Academic All-American
Team.
The recognition as a top program academically comes after an incredible year on the court. The Titans
completed a historic run to the NJCAA Division-1 Women’s Basketball tournament in Lake Charles,
Louisiana, in March for the first time in the program’s history.
“The achievements of our young women speak to their determination, commitment to each other, and
desire to represent themselves, their families and the college community with excellence,” said head
coach John Gordon. “We are so proud of each of them and look forward to keeping this standard for
our program in the future.”
In addition to the Women’s Basketball program earning honors nationally, the Men’s Basketball
program earned All-American Team honors with a 3.29 GPA, ranking 26 out of 80 colleges. The
Women’s Soccer program earned the 28th rank out of 93 colleges, with a team GPA of 3.44.
“The work of our coaches to create a high standard of academic achievement is of utmost importance
to our culture in athletics,” said Cathy Johnson, the College’s Executive Director for Athletics and
Compliance.

Fall sports at CGTC kick-off on August 15 with Men’s Soccer on the road at Trinity Baptist College in
Jacksonville. Women’s Soccer starts two days later on August 17 at ABAC.
