Warner Robins, Ga. – Military Friendly® released its rank of large community colleges this week and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) earned the 2024-2025 Military Friendly® School Top-10 designation, ranking No. 3 in the large community college category. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Thousands of schools participate to earn the designation for their service to veterans and their families.
“We are extremely pleased to once again receive the Military Friendly designation,” said Dr. Janet Kelly, CGTC assistant vice president for Enrollment Services, Marketing and Public Relations. “The services offered by CGTC at the GA VECTR Center, in addition to those geared toward veteran and military families at our campuses, contributed to this very important designation. We are proud to receive this honor and want to ensure that we continually offer the same service and dedication to this population as they have provided for our country during their service.”
The 2024-2025 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the March issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by data collection agency, Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.
Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources, within a logic-based scoring assessment. Evaluators measure the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer), and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
