students with CGTC Flag in BrazilWarner Robins, Ga. – Holiday savings can be found in every corner of the world these days, at home in Central Georgia and even to Brazil, as the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Office of Global Initiatives, announces a price reduction for the first eight students who enroll in the Brazil Study Abroad program

Traveling May 9-17, 2026, the 8-day program carries a price tag of $3,000/ However, thanks to recent generosity to the CGTC Foundation, the first eight students to sign up and deposit, will have the program reduced to $2,375.

“International education experiences make some of the best gifts you could ever give yourself,” said JoBen Rivera-Thompson, CGTC’s director of Marketing, Public Relations, and International Outreach. “Finances are often a barrier to undergrad participation in study abroad, so we are hopeful this unique price reduction will help students make it a possibility.”

While in Brazil, students work on projects associated in one of two courses they register for in the Spring Mini-Semester, beginning March 9. They will also take part in virtual cultural exchanges with faculty from FAE. This program is intended for students in Business and Logistics Management programs, but space is available to students whose schedules and programs allow for an occupational elective.

Alongside the College’s partner, FAE Centro Universitario, the program is an 8-day exploration into one of Brazil’s most captivating business centers. Similar to the way business has blossomed in Atlanta and Georgia as a whole, Curitiba provides a vibrant and unique backdrop to study in these disciplines.

Students who deposit on the flight must meet the eligibility of the program and enroll in the Business and Logistics courses for the spring semester. A deposit serves as a commitment to abide by all CGTC policies regarding participation in study abroad. The minimum $100 deposit is non-refundable. Students should speak with an advisor about registration for the courses.
