Macon, Ga. – The video below is 13WMAZ’s story on Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Parent Night for the Aircraft Structural (AST) Dual Enrollment program on April 13.
Aerospace, Trade, and Industry programs, and High School Initiatives team at CGTC introduced parents to one of Middle Georgia’s most in-demand industries.
CGTC houses its AST program in hangar space co-occupied by Robins AFB at the Central Georgia Aerospace Training and Sustainment Center adjacent to Middle Georgia Regional Airport at 1821 Avondale Mill Road, Macon, Ga. Tours showed parents and students a look at the day-to-day learning which occurs within the sequence of courses for AST. Industry partners including, Delta, Boeing, Robins AFB, and Embraer spoke to attendees.
A second parent night for Engineering Technology will take place on April 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Charles H. Jones Advanced Technology Center on CGTC’s Macon Campus at 3300 Macon Tech Dr. Macon, Ga. 31216.
