Macon, Ga. – In response to the projections for inclement winter weather across North and Central Georgia on Friday from the National Weather Service (NWS), Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA), and the Governor’s Office, all Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) campuses and centers will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025. Earlier this week, the Governor’s Office directed state agencies to close buildings and halt operations in Macon-Bibb County and north within the state, prompting College leadership to close Friday.
While most concern for the effect of the winter weather is expected in North and Central Georgia, the College encourages students, faculty, staff, and their families across its service area to stay diligent and prepared as the weather approaches. Up-to-the-minute weather reports and safety protocols are issued by local authorities, including NWS and GEMA.
CGTC will re-open for regularly scheduled hours on Monday, January 13, 2025.
