Georgia VECTR Center Distributes Food to More Than 300 Veterans

Warner Robins, Ga. – As volunteers from Robins Air Force Base (Robins AFB) joined staff from the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center to pack and distribute bags of food and other goods, Center leadership was leading the charge.

Central Georgia Technical College Receives Bloomberg Philanthropies Gift to Support Georgia’s VECTR Center

Warner Robins, Ga.—Georgia’s Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center has received a $100,000 grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies.  Bloomberg Philanthropies works in 480 cities in more than 120 countries around the world to ensure better, longer lives for the greatest number of people. The organization, which encompasses all of Michael R. Bloomberg’s charitable activities, focuses on five key areas: Arts, Education, Environment, Government Innovation, and Public Health.

Robins Financial Credit Union Donates More than $4,000 to Georgia VECTR Center

Warner Robins, Ga. – Robins Financial Credit Union recently contributed over $132,000 to eight organizations as part of their annual Community Project, including $4,173.50 to the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition (VECTR) Center.

Georgia VECTR Center Offers Breakfast and Free Haircuts to Veterans

Warner Robins, Ga. – Waves of appreciative veterans lined up for breakfast burritos and free haircuts, at the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center on Thursday, and at least for one, it came as a healthy serving of the unique work of the Center.
Patrick Flaherty, 32, served in the Air Force for 12 years, 11months, and 22 days. He spent time stationed in Germany, Valdosta, Ga., and at the end of June of this year he retired and relocated from Arizona to Warner Robins. Read More
