CHSGa Establishes a New Scholarship Fund for Nursing Students at CGTC

Warner Robins, Ga. – The CHSGa Practical Nursing Scholarship is a new scholarship that became available this summer to students in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) thanks to a fund created by CHSGa. CHSGa, a non-profit healthcare system, presented the College’s Foundation with a $6,000 check to provide scholarships to qualified students enrolled in the LPN program.

Delta Air Lines TechOps Partners with CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Program in Pursuit of College’s Premier Talent

Warner Robins, Ga. – Delta Air Lines TechOps now has preferred access to highly-skilled mechanics from Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Aviation Maintenance Technology program (AMT), as a recently developed partnership saw the College selected as a preferred training institution for airframe and power plant technicians. The College is one of 47 institutions nationwide to be selected.

First Cohort of Associate Degree Nursing Students Set to Graduate

Warner Robins, Ga. – Student nurses at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) put their final hours of clinicals behind them last week, and now look ahead to graduation as the College’s first Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree cohort.

“We all learned a lot through this, and we maintain high hopes that each of these students will continue on to be the great nurses we know they are,” said program chair, Jessica Willcox, whom the College hired in 2014 along with a small group of instructors to see the Registered Nursing (RN) program hit the ground.
