Warner Robins, Ga. – The Georgia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is hitting the road to inform Georgia businesses of resources available to assist them, making a stop with its Roadshow at the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center on Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

First-Ever Scholarship at Georgia VECTR Center Awarded to Veteran

Warner Robins, Ga. – Adding financial resources for education to its one-stop-shop for veterans, the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center presented its first-ever scholarship last week to a former Army officer.
In a brief ceremony, the Center awarded the General Alfred G. Hansen Scholarship to James Harris, a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program student for his exhibition of leadership, academic achievement, and adherence to military core values.

Georgia VECTR Center Offers Breakfast and Free Haircuts to Veterans

Warner Robins, Ga. – Waves of appreciative veterans lined up for breakfast burritos and free haircuts, at the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center on Thursday, and at least for one, it came as a healthy serving of the unique work of the Center.
Patrick Flaherty, 32, served in the Air Force for 12 years, 11months, and 22 days. He spent time stationed in Germany, Valdosta, Ga., and at the end of June of this year he retired and relocated from Arizona to Warner Robins. Read More
