CGTC REACH Program Closes Out Busy Summer

Macon, Ga. – Expectations elevated to new heights this summer for one of Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) key, student programs. The Raising Expectations of Achievement (REACH) program took part in a variety of activities, empowering students to expand their abilities.
“The REACH sessions, mentor relationships, and student bonding experiences during the educational and cultural field trips this semester served to build a ‘complete’ student,” said Rolandria Tolbert, program specialist and REACH program coordinator for the Institutional Effectiveness Division (IED) at the College. SkillsUSA Competitors from CGTC Return to Campus with Gold Medal in Hand

Warner Robins, Ga. – Members of the SkillsUSA student organization at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently brought home their first gold medal in the Chapter Display category of the SkillsUSA Nationals competition.
Thomas Butler, Alison Crumb, and QaNeshia Mays earned gold by building a three-dimensional display that articulates the annual theme for the organization’s national competition, “Champions at Work, Job Ready Day One,” held in Louisville, Ky.
The team built an intricate, rotating, octagonal, three-dimensional model with two computer monitors.  Read More
