Admission Requirements

Age

All applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants for Health Technology and Cosmetology programs must be 17 years of age or older.

Education

Applicants must have earned their High School Diploma or GED prior to being accepted to the college. To be considered a high school graduate for admission purposes, you must have passed the graduation test and received a diploma (does not include a certificate of attendance or special education diploma.) If these requirements are not met, completion of GED is required.

Placement Tests

Applicants may be required to take the COMPASS placement exam or submit valid SAT or ACT scores. Tests must have been taken within the last five years and are valid for five years. The minimum scores are as follows:

Associate of Applied Technology Degree
ACT: Reading - 17; English - 16; Math - 19
SAT: Critical Reading - 450; Math - 440
Compass: Reading - 79; Writing - 62; Math - 26; Algebra - 37

Diplomas
ACT: Reading - 13; English - 12; Math - 17
SAT: Critical Reading - 430; Math - 400
Compass: Reading - 70; Writing - 32; Math - 26
Algebra - 28 required for some programs

Certificates
ACT: Reading - 13; English - 12; Math - 17
SAT: Critical Reading - 430; Math - 400
Compass: Reading - 70; Writing - 32; Math - 26
