Vision

CGTC will lead the southeast in providing technical and adult education designed to meet the workforce needs of the future by focusing on preparation for emerging and transforming careers. CGTC will infuse advanced, innovative technologies and business practices into all programs and services enabling CGTC to stay consistently "ahead of the curve." CGTC, with its eight-county seven-county service area and multiple sites, will use high-tech communications to share instruction and resources across campuses and will maintain active involvement in all communities throughout the service area to produce Georgia's foremost technical education community. CGTC will offer a comprehensive range of high-quality, high-demand state-standard and unique advanced technical programs, along with extensive adult literacy, continuing education, and economic development services. CGTC will provide strong leadership in medical and information technology training and will take the leadership position in the state in development and delivery of post-degree technical programs. CGTC's instructional sites will function as a technologically connected learning community sharing standard and advanced programs among sites to create the most comprehensive, innovative, and advanced technical college curriculum in Georgia. CGTC's applied-learning instructional approach will stimulate learning, resulting in high levels of student understanding and academic and technical performance. CGTC will provide extensive training services for area companies and will help shape, transform, and expand the area's workforce and job availability through partnerships with business and industry.
