Accountability and Evaluation of Progress
Accountability
CGTC plays a pivotal role in the support of the areas economic
growth and development. The availability of a highly skilled, competent
workforce proves to be a major factor in business and industry's
ability to experience continued growth, expansion, and technical
advancement. return-on-investment to the area's communities is evident
through immediate effects on students and through a multiplier effect
apparent in economic growth, increased tax bases, and increased
consumer spending.
CGTC has a strong history of emphasizing accountability to
its customers, constituents, and stakeholders by making efficient
use of public funds and striving to manage the resources at our
command effectively to produce greater results. Historically, CGTC's
funding has remained relatively constant while the quality and quantity
of our programs and services has grown rapidly. Now, CGTC measures
and reports its results to the state through the Performance Accountability
System/Performance Accountability Review (PAS/PAR) and through a
formalized statewide accountability report card.
Evaluation
CGTC will use three phases of evaluation as part of its institutional
effectiveness process:
- The annual PAS self-evaluation process,
- The agency accountability report card process, and
- CGTC's own measurement of strategic progress compared to the
desired results, objectives, and strategies stated in this plan.
The CGTC evaluation process will involve evaluation of the college's
progress in implementing the strategic plan and evaluation of the
college's effectiveness in meeting desired results. Results of the
three evaluations will be used to plan improvements and will contribute
to the situational analyses for annual strategic plan updates and
for major redevelopment of the strategic plan every third year. |
