Business and Industry Services for Economic Development

CGTC business and industry services will stimulate and sustain economic development by providing quality customized training and services for new and existing companies and organizations. CGTC will lead in implementing statewide economic development initiatives.

Goal 6. Support business and industry and stimulate economic development by providing expanded customized credit and non-credit programs and services for local companies and organizations.

Expected Results

Customize Contract Training, Companies – By FY 2014, CGTC will provide customized contract training for at least sixty (60) companies annually.*

Customize Contract Training, Trainees - By FY 2014, CGTC will provide customized contract training for at least three-thousand-five-hundred (3,500) trainees annually.*

Customize Contract Training, Contact Hours - By FY 2014, CGTC will provide at least eighty-four-thousand (84,000) hours of customized contract training annually.*

G6O1. Customized Non-Credit Training

Expand non-credit customized employee training for area business and industry.

G6O2. Customized Credit Training

Offer innovative customized packaging and delivery of new and existing credit programs, especially technical certificate of credit (TCC) programs.

G6O3. Customized Employer Services

Expand customized employer services such as personnel assessments, technology transfer assistance, entrepreneurship consulting, and other demand-based services.

G6O4. Web-Based Customized Services

Expand online and hybrid customized training and services for business and industry.

G6O5. Services for Public Partners

Expand services to public partners such as schools (TAPP, ITI training), local governments, agencies, hospitals, prisons, and other organizations with large numbers of employees.

G6O6. Support for State Initiatives

Serve as a leader in support of State of Georgia and Technical College System of Georgia initiatives, such as the Georgia Work-Ready program.
