2005 Graduation

Dr. Melton Palmer, president of Central Georgia Technical College, conferred over 430 degrees and diplomas during the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Macon Coliseum. The commencement speaker was Michael Vollmer, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education.

At least one set of parent/child graduates was among the 1498 graduates of the 2004-2005 academic year. As pictured below, Kathy Malcom, a 4.0 honor graduate, received an Administrative Office Technology Associate of Applied Technology and her son, David Malcom, received a diploma in Automotive Technology. Ms. Malcom is Administrative Assistant to Craig Wentworth, VP of Instructional Services at CGTC. Her son David is employed as a technician at Premier Imports.
