CGTC hosts Twiggs County Basketball Camp

Central Georgia Technical College recently partnered with Family Connections of Twiggs County to host the second annual Twiggs County Basketball/Cheer Camp at the Titans Arena located at the Historic Ballard Hudson facility on Anthony Road in Macon.

Fifty-one students from Twiggs County participated in the week’s activities that included fundamental coaching instruction in basketball and cheer from the Titans Coaches as well as the Lady Titans Basketball Team. Antonio Harris of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department volunteered his time to help coach the basketball players.

Representative Bubber Epps and his wife Kathryn provided a cake to the campers on their awards day. The week’s activities ended with a presentation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department Gang Unit and CGTC recruiters who provided tours of CGTC’s program areas on the Macon Campus.

Academy Sports and Pepsi sponsored the camp, providing refreshments, T-shirts and basketballs as gifts for those who completed the camp.
