CGTC Foundation and MGTC Foundation Merger

By a unanimous vote, the boards of trustees for the Central Georgia Technical College Foundation and the Middle Georgia Technical College Foundation approved the consolidation of the two foundations. The name of the consolidated organization is the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation.

“This has been an exciting time of transition,” said Tonya McClure, assistant vice president of institutional advancement. “Consolidating the two entities will not only afford a stronger organization for our students and our College, but will also provide more opportunities for fundraising endeavors. There is a bright future ahead for the new CGTC Foundation.”
The mission of the CGTC Foundation has not changed; the organization will continue to support and raise funding for the strategic initiatives set by the College. There has been no disruption of service to students or donors, and any donations gifted on behalf of the MGTC Foundation are being accepted by the CGTC Foundation. The CGTC Foundation has maintained its 501(c)3 nonprofit standing, and any donations made to the Foundation for scholarships or other areas of funding will continue as prescribed by the donor.
The Foundation trustees are appreciative of the support demonstrated by the faculty, staff and community partners of CGTC. The former CGTC and MGTC Foundations have a long legacy of giving and providing assistance to CGTC’s students and staff, a legacy that will continue to be the cornerstone of the new CGTC Foundation. For information regarding Foundation initiatives, please call (478) 757-3503, email, or visit
