CGTC Experiences Record Enrollment

Administrators have been eagerly awaiting the start of fall quarter at Central Georgia Technical College, and they were not disappointed. Today, a record 7,007 students are on campus attending the first day of classes.

“We are thrilled to help these students embark on their educational career,” said Dr. Flora Tydings, interim president. “We have been planning for a significant increase of students for fall quarter all summer and are excited to help so many people receive the education and training they need to be productive in our community.”

The majority of the students will be attending classes at the Macon campus; however all of CGTC’s locations have seen tremendous growth. The College currently has a satellite campus in Milledgeville and centers in Crawford, Putnam, Jones and Twiggs counties. Enrollment for fall quarter 2008 was 5,587 students.
