CGTC Plants on Earth Day

CGTC combined Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 24) into one event on April 22. The Student Government Association planted trees and plants in honor of these two days. The trees replaced ones that were damaged during the tornado storm last May. The contracted landscaping company for CGTC helped obtain the trees and plants and oversaw the planting. Twelve students took part in the planting activities and added to the beauty of the campus. Tony Abel and five staff members also picked up shovels. Outside help showed up as well: Jackie Brazzel from Gray wanted to volunteer on Earth Day and found our Earth Day plans on our website. In all, ten trees were planted and both sides of the J Building stairs were filled in with plants.
