CGTC’s Early Childhood Care and Education Students Celebrate with a "County Fair"
Students enrolled in Deborah Higgins' curriculum development class at Central Georgia Technical College celebrated with their own "County Fair" on February 13. This project was part of their study in the Early Childhood Care and Education program at the college’s Macon Campus.
As part of the fair setup, each student developed a unique booth or activity, which also required them to develop a curriculum, activity plan and student objectives for each section of the fair.
The fair setup ranged from a mock-up TV program, to bowling, to fishing. Children in the classroom also enjoyed nutritious treats.
CGTC’s Early Childhood Care and Education program prepares students to be effective teachers in child care or related fields. Graduates are uniquely qualified to be effective teachers of young children and/or to manage high-quality early childhood programs.
